A native of Long Island, New York, Thomas Lynch, baritone, is described as "an effective singer" by the Post and Courier for his performance of the title role in Carissimi’s  Jephte. While earning his Bachelor's degree at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Thomas performed in many works including Verdi's Falstaff  (Falstaff), and I Capuleti e i Montecchi  (Capellio) as well as Bach's St. Matthew Passion (Judas) under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin with the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has collaborated with many artists in master classes such as Frederica von Stade, Thomas Hampson, Dalton Baldwin, Rachelle Jonck, and J.J. Penna. After his Bachelor’s, Thomas recorded as a soloist with Westminster’s early music ensemble, Kantorei, in their recently Grammy-nominated album, Lumina.  He has been included in young artists programs such as Bel Canto at Caramoor and recently, Seagle Music Colony. He has debuted in Rossini's Aureliano in Palmira with Caramoor as the Gran Sacerdote as well as covered the role of  Don Fernando in Beethoven’s Fidelio. At Seagle, Tom performed in the musical Mame (Patrick Dennis (19-26)). He also covered Nick Carraway in John Harbison’s The Great Gatsby.  Thomas participated in the Spoleto Festival U.S.A. as a member of the Westminster Choir and as a soloist. Works at the festival included performances as a soloist in Beethoven's Mass in C, the St. Matthew Passion, and Jephte. He has performed  as a soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the South Shore Symphony Orchestra under Scott Jackson Wiley and with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra under Rossen Milanov. At Boston Conservatory, he was cast in Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking  (chorus),  Mozart's Così fan tutte (Guglielmo) and in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin (Commander/Officer). He recently performed in Menotti’s The Consul (John Sorel) and Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites (Marquis de la Force) with the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and the baritone soloist for Howard Goodall's Eternal Light: Requiem with the MIT Cambridge Chinese Choral Society. Thomas will be joining Seagle Music Colony for their 2019 summer and fall season singing in Putz’s The Manchurian Candidate (Sgt. Raymond Shaw). Thomas is currently enrolled at Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he is studying to receive a Master's in Opera Studies.
